"Icarus" is a bronze sculpture that reinterprets the mythological symbol of flight through a fragmented, structural lens. The wing, created in multiple sections and reassembled with spacers, appears to have been split and pieced back together—almost as if it were on display, dissected for analysis. This deliberate disjunction between parts transforms the wing from a symbol of graceful flight into a more literal, architectural form. The effect is both a visual and conceptual exploration of fragility and ambition, as well as the tension between destruction and reconstruction. The wing’s fragmented structure invites viewers to reflect on the moment of transformation—when flight and aspiration are both literal and metaphorical, suspended between myth and reality.
