"Flora and Fauna is a bronze sculpture that explores the intersectionof nature and artistic interpretation, using the figure of a cheetah tobridge the organic and the ornamental. The cheetah stands poised, balanced on two columns that contrast in style: the front columndepicts the cheetah in a traditional, lifelike form, while the rearcolumn introduces a more graphic, stylized interpretation, with afloral pattern enveloping the body. This duality reflects the tensionbetween the natural world’s raw beauty and the human impulse totransform it into something decorative and symbolic.Through this work, I aim to examine how we engage with the naturalworld—how we appreciate, interpret, and sometimes impose our ownaesthetic onto it. The cheetah, as a symbol of speed, agility, andwildness, is juxtaposed against the floral design, which invokes ideasof growth, beauty, and the delicate balance between nature andculture.Flora and Fauna invites viewers to reflect on therelationship between the natural and the constructed, and the waythese two forces coexist and inform one another in both the physicalworld and in our perceptions
