The brief called for a piece that embodied both functionality and aesthetic value, so I designed a very thin vase in the shape of a coin, reflecting the hotel's luxurious setting. The form of the piece is both minimal and symbolic, blending the timeless shape of a medallion with the practical function of a vessel.

Given the hotel’s location by the river in Shanghai, I incorporated stylized, Art Deco-inspired feet, evoking the flow and movement of water. Water Medallion serves as a visual representation of prosperity, with its sleek, refined design capturing the essence of both natural beauty and opulence. Positioned within the hotel, it symbolises the harmony of nature, wealth, and refined craftsmanship.
